Mentorship
FIRST Teams are always looking for assistance experienced mentors. To learn more about mentoring, visit the “Ways to Help” page and register with FIRST. This is the best way to indicate your interest and make your availability known to FIRST teams near you.
Tournament volunteer
Our events are always in need of helpful hands. You volunteer at an event in a role that fits your interests and abilities. To learn more about volunteering, visit the “Ways to Help” page and register with FIRST. It is the best way to indicate your interest and make your availability known to Hawai’i FIRST Robotics.
Here are just a few examples of volunteers roles you’ll find at tournaments:
- Event Day Volunteer – Help guide teams to their interviews and matches, serve as a practice table assistant, distribute programs, register teams & volunteers
- Volunteer Hospitality – organize and distribute refreshments to volunteers.
- Interview Judge – Interview and judge teams in three areas: robot design, project & FIRST® Robotics Core Value interviews, training required
- Match Referee – Referee 2.5 minute robot match and score teams, training required
